On Tuesday, the Lower Moreland Girls' Track and Field Team braved the elements and kicked off their BAL schedule right where they left off last year. The girls won 13 of the 16 events contested, and defeated Bristol 113.5 - 20, while also beating Delaware County Christian 113.5 - 27.5. Seniors Rebecca No, Sydney Rubin, and Jamie Mayer, and sophomore Alexis Lohin led the way, each winning 2 individual events.
Rebecca took firsts in the Javelin and Discus, Sydney won the 1600m and 800m runs, Jamie took the 400m and 200m dashes, and Alexis won the long jump and 100 meter hurdles. Also turning in notable performances were Gianna Penecale, who won the triple jump, Kerrilyn Kennedy, who won the Shot Put with a personal best toss, and Nicole Castor, who won the 300 hurdles. The girls return to action next Tuesday at Dock Mennonite.
