CHRISTOPHER DOCK MENNONITE HIGH SCHOOL: 2
The first two games this week saw the Lady Lions start slow before strong second halves secured victories. Thursday's game had a different tone as Jamie Mayer scored within the first 6 minutes to give the Lions a 1-0 lead. Dock tied the score up at 1 shortly after and had numerous chances to take the lead, but Grace Laudenslager had other ideas. She made 4 saves in a row to hold off the Dock rush, which helped lead the Lions into halftime with a 3-1 lead. In the second half Lower Moreland outscored Dock 2-1 to finish the game with a 5-2 victory.
Jamie and Taryn Mayer each had two goals, Freshman Linda Tang added the other for the Lions. Laudenslager finished the game with 14 saves. The girls finished the week 3-0 and improved their record to 5-1 (4-1 BAL) and are back in action at Cheltenham on Monday.
