The Lower Moreland Field Hockey team defeated Villa Joseph Marie 8-0 after a slow start under the lights Monday. Although the Lions kept the ball on their offensive end and earned eight offensive corners during the first half, they had trouble finishing in net, only scoring 1 goal by half-time. After the half, the girls picked up momentum, notching 7 more goals, to win with a final score of 8-0. Lower Moreland goalie Grace Laudenslager came up with 7 saves for the game. The Lower Moreland offense had 21 shots on goal for the game. Goals for LM were scored by Gianna Venafra with 3, Jamie Mayer with 2, Linda Tang with 3. Assists were made by Jamie Mayer with 2, Joy Hong with 1, Taryn Mayer with 1, and Kasey Duffey with 1. The win pushes LM's record to 3-1 as they look for a league win Tuesday at Plumstead."
