The Lions took the trip up to Plumstead Christian on Friday afternoon. A small but determined Plumstead Christian scored first against the visiting Lions squad on Friday. While LM dominated play, they had trouble finding the cage.In the second half, FR Lilly Elebah scored (JR Taryn Mayer assist) getting LM on the board. Mayer (Meredith Lutter assist) put the Lions up 2-1 with 6:28 remaining in the game. Behind strong defense in the closing minutes, the Lions were able to avoid OT and come away with a 2-1 victory. Coach Mayer praised Sr. Ashley Tang who recorded a big defensive save. Freshman Sarah Rosala had 4 saves in the cage in the first half, while junior Linden Pezalla had 3 saves in the second half. Lower Moreland moved to 3-0 overall, 2-0 in the BAL. Next week two league battles with New Hope Solebury and Jenkintown are on the schedule.
