Tennis Advances To District Finals

The ladies of the Lower Moreland Tennis team continue their quest for District Gold. On Thursday they defeated Gwynedd-Mercy Academy 4-1. Ally Cheiken gave it her all and was able to battle the district singles champion Genevieve Wurtz but came up short. Elizatbeth Berzin and Maeve McErlean both won their singles matches 6-1 6-1. In the doubles 1 matchup Gabby Zaydenberg and Alex Nerus continued to show how good of a team they are as they won easily 6-0, 6-0. In the other doubles match Anastasia Shchurin and Eliana Yi won 6-0 6-3.
The girls will go for gold on Monday October 16th vs. either league rival New Hope Solebury or Villa Jo. The finals will be hosted at Plymouth Whitemarsh HS in Plymouth Meeting. Time TBD. Goodluck!
