CONWELL-EGAN CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL: 1
The first half was largely played in the middle of the field. Conwell Egan (CEC) scored at the 33 minute mark to take a 1-0 lead over the Lions. Lower Moreland came out strong in the 2nd half as they outshot CEC 10-0. Miah Gomez scored 13 minutes into the second half to tie the score up at 1-1. Miah's goal was assisted by Allison Asmann. LM continued to pressure the CEC defense in the second half but at the end of regulation the score remained tied 1-1. In overtime, Asmann scored the winning goal at 5:50 of the Overtime period to secure the win for the Lions. Getting the assist on Alli's goal was Yazmine Machlof. The next game for our girls is on Tuesday September 5th at 3:45 on the turf vs. Upper Moreland in a "Battle of the Morelands."
