Hello LM Community,

Effective immediately, the PIAA Sports Medicine Committee has deemed that pre-season examinations by a licensed physician are allowed to be performed starting on May 1st. This is a change from the past, when the earliest the physical examination could be completed was the 1st of June.

The hope is that this change will reduce the stress that comes from having to schedule a doctor’s appointment in the middle of the summer or closer to the start of fall sports in August and September.
