Senior Fred Shub qualified for the District One Track and Field Championships in the Discus with a throw of 139-0 at Germantown Academy Friday evening. Fred is improving in the throws on a regular basis, and hopes to lead the Lions at the upcoming BAL Championships.

The boys team competed at the prestigious Penn Relays at Franklin Field on the Campus of the University of Pennsylvania over the weekend. The meet is the oldest relay meet in the US, with schools coming from around the country to participate. The 4X100M relay team of Tomas Celaj, Nickey Dilbarov, Josiah Wiggins, and John Kim, competed Friday and ran their fastest time of the season, and had the 3rd fastest time among BAL teams. On Saturday, the 4X400M team of Nickey Dilbarov, Josiah Wiggins, John Kim, and Shane Cohen ran a great race and missed winning their heat by 1.5 seconds. All four boys ran their fastest times of the season and competed with a lot of heart.

The boys will be back in action this Thursday at William Tennent HS, and Friday at West Chester Henderson. Good luck to the team as they continue to prepare for the BAL Championships.
