On Saturday 1/26 the wrestling team went to Central HS in Philadelphia to participate in the Lancer Invitational. The individual tournament saw a lot of successes for the team.
At 106lb Derek Mironenko pinned Isaac Carachilo (Bishop McDevitt), 1:08 to earn the gold medal.
At 138lbs Jared Johnson (Roman Catholic) dec. Nick Bratspis, 11-5 and at 160lbs Lucien Anderson (Central High) maj. dec. Eric Srulevich, 10-1. Nick and Eric earned silver medals for the tournament.
Tim Whittle dec. Andy Zhuo (Central) 4-3 at 145lbs earned him the bronze medal on Saturday.

The team has Senior Night on Thursday at home vs. Archbishop Caroll at 7 PM. Next weekend the team will battle Biship McDevitt (D12) 1 PM at District Duals (Upper Dublin HS). If they win that, they will face off vs. District Power Faith Christian Academy at 3 PM.
