Lower Moreland defeats Jenkintown 3-2 in Overtime. The girls started out tough in the first half with six corners, a lot of scoring opportunities, and no goals. With 18.6 seconds left in the first half, the Lady Lions finally scored, starting with a goal by Gianna Venafra and an assist by Jamie Mayer. Within the first three minutes of the second half, Gianna scored again with another assist by J. Mayer. Jenkintown answered back with two goals and the score was tied 2-2 at the end of regulation. 

In overtime, the girls started out strong offensively but found themselves fighting back on their defensive end as Jenkintown gained one corner and scoring opportunities. With about 7 minutes left, Venafra sent a long pass from mid-field to Taryn Mayer who centered the ball to sister Jamie who finished in net. Goalie Grace Laudenslager had 7 saves for the game and Venafra added one defensive save. 

The LM Lions will take on two BAL rivals next week with Dock away Monday night. On Tuesday they look to avenge their only loss on the season home vs. New Hope at 3:45.
